HISTORY

In 1986 Harald Schlosser founded a civil engineering office in Zell am See. Thanks to the trust placed in the office by public and private clients and the resulting increase in capacity utilisation, the foundation for successful growth was laid.

In 1989, Hans-Georg Leitner joined Harald Schlosser at the management level as a partner and initiated the use of the CAD software SIBACAD for civil engineers that he had developed on the basis of AutoCAD. This complete changeover to computer-aided design (CAD) marked an early start into the CAD age compared to other engineering offices. Since then, BauCon is one of the leading companies in this field.

In 1993, Gerald Haussteiner joined the management team as a further partner and contributed his technical expertise with just as much commitment.

In the same year, the engineering consortium also started its activities in Berlin (Germany) and became a member of the Berlin Chamber of Construction.

In 1996, another step towards office expansion and market adaptation followed: Under the management of Bernd Englacher, a branch office was opened in Kitzbühel (Tyrol).

At the same time, the joint office name and brand BauCon ZT GmbH was created to also formally express that the comprehensive know-how as well as the entire office capacity is available at each office location.

In 1997, the company was certified according to ISO-9001 for project and structural design, local construction supervision and project management. A recertification of the QM system according to the revised ISO-9001:2000 standard followed four years later.

In 2001, another BauCon Office opened in Bolzano (Italy) under the management of Simon Neulichedl.

In 2005, the branch office in Vienna started its activities, with Hans-Georg Leitner taking over the management there.

The level of awareness and success grew in parallel with the expansion of the company's locations, and the number of employees also increased to more than 50.

Due to the large number of successfully completed projects - many internationally - BauCon founded a subsidiary in Hanoi / Vietnam in 2017.

In 2018, Bernd Englacher, Jan-Peter Hasse and Hans-Martin Leitner joined the company management as additional partners. This set the course for the company's future, and a new generation of civil engineers immediately joined the first row of managers in the civil engineering office BauCon.

In 2020, the intensive activity in the Asian region was taken into account and a further location was opened in Bangkok (Thailand).

BauCon ZT GmbH continues to be one of the most renowned Austrian civil engineering offices, which is highly regarded for quality and responsible technical services both domestically and internationally.

With the beginning of the year 2022 another location near Salzburg could start its operation:

The civil engineering office Krammer will be continued under the name "Baucon Salzburg" after the retirement of DI Dietmar Krammer and some long-time employees. The remaining young generation under the office management of DI Josef Krammer thus enriches the Baucon team with their expertise and experience in traffic and road planning.

The office location in Salzburg will have a new home at Bayerhamerstraße 57 in 2024, which will continue to operate as a BauCon office following the retirement of DI Johann Lienbacher. This means that the entire office capacity for civil engineering services will also be available in the Salzburg area.

Due to the international orientation of Baucon Vienna, the newly founded BauCon International ZT GmbH will take up its operational activities from 1 July 2024, and part of the BauCon family will be transferred to a new company.
In Austria as a whole, however, the number of employees continues to grow to currently 66 highly qualified people with maximum passion for the art of engineering!
